blackberry banana smoothie

mmmm… blackberries!

being a huge fan of fresh fruit & veg, it’s not unusual to get a tad bit carried away stocking up on fresh produce on my weekly grocery run… especially when my fave fruits & veggies are in season at the local farmers’ market. blackberries are definitely near the top of my list of fave fruits. blackberries are fantastic in a summer salad, as a colourful garnish on dessert, and just as lovely in a fruit smoothie. check it out… :)

blend well:
– 1/2 cup fresh blackberries
– 1 ripe banana, sliced into chunks
– 1.5 cups low-fat organic plain yogurt
– 1/4 cup skim or 1% milk

    • the fruit smoothie combinations are endless, aren’t they? :) this morning, i was a bit brave and added some baby lettuce to my green smoothie! and it was actually pretty good… stay tuned!
