picnic, anyone? anyone?
so happy that spring is finally here! read: picnic season is just around the corner. next thing you know, juicy watermelons and fresh fruit salads will be a-plenty. i’m drooling already…
the greens & colour:
toss ingredients in large prep bowl:
- organic fresh herb salad greens
- 1/2 cup fresh blackberries
- 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
- 3 fresh organic radishes (thinly sliced, cut into halves)
- 1/4 fresh watermelon (sliced into chunks, no rind)

food styling:
- drizzle freshly-squeezed lime juice over salad
- season w/ ground black peppercorns
- picnic blanket optional :)

Those blackberries look sooooo good! Love the idea of the soft fruit with the crisp radishes.
i buy frozen blackberries all the time for my smoothies. but nothing compares to fresh blackberries in a summer salad! i wasn’t sure if i’d like the raw radishes in the salad, but they were surprisingly good.
this sounds delightfully refreshing!
it’s funny because i typically don’t buy watermelons. but a friend was visiting from out-of-town and insisted we pick up some watermelon to snack on over the weekend. good call!
